New SQL Server Query Writing Course

New SQL Server Query Writing Course

It's finally here!

We are excited to announce our newest course: Writing Queries for SQL Server (Course 160). This is a course that many of you have asked us for and represents a new direction for LearnItFirst.

This is not an upgrade nor is it a replacement for course 150, our Transact-SQL programming course

Course 160 is a completely new course that focuses solely on the SELECT statement in SQL Server 2005 and SQL Server 2008 (and R2). This is a query writing course and, after taking this course, you will be very comfortable with writing INNER and OUTER JOINs, you will understand when to use a LEFT vs. a RIGHT JOIN, and you will know things like the 'how and why' of subqueries.

New Feature: Video Exercises!

Throughout the years we have been asked many times to provide video-based exercises to go along with our videos - and Course 160 is the first to provide such support. Course 160 will feature more than six hours worth of video-based exercises.

NOTE: This course is being released as it is finished. All together it will have seven chapters with the first four chapters being released next week (February, 2010) and the final three chapters released throughout the month of February.
